What is the Lincoln warranty on corrosion?

The Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to defects in factory-supplied materials or workmanship. Warranty coverage will vary based on the material used and whether there is perforation (holes).

The Lincoln Corrosion Warranty states:

• If body sheet metal has corrosion damage without perforation, and the damage is not the result of abnormal usage and/or extreme environmental conditions, the corrosion damage repairs are covered under the Garantía limitada para vehículos nuevos period of 4 years or 50,000 miles.
• Rust damage resulting in perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels is covered for 5 years/unlimited miles.
• Aluminum Panels – Corrosion damage is covered for five years/unlimited miles with no requirement for perforation on 2016 model year and newer Lincoln vehicles. Any 2015 and older Lincoln vehicles adhere to the general Sheet Metal Corrosion and Perforation Warranty for their aluminum panels.
