How do I change the Wi-Fi Hotspot password in my Lincoln?
You can change the password for your vehicle's Wi-Fi® hotspot* using the SYNC®** screen.
Changing Your Wi-Fi Hotspot Password
Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to change your Wi-Fi hotspot password. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.
Identifying Your SYNC Generation

Lincoln Digital Experience
- Tap the Apps Drawer icon (six dots) on your vehicle's center display screen.
- Select Hotspot.
- Press Settings.
- Either:
- Press Change Password and enter your new password.
- Press Network Name and enter your new Wi-Fi hotspot name.
- Save your changes.
SYNC 4
- Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Select Connectivity.
- Press Connected Vehicle Features.
- Choose Edit.
- Tap Change Password.
- Enter your new password.
- Select Done.
SYNC 3
- Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Select Wi-Fi & Hotspot.
- Press Settings.
- Choose Edit.
- Tap Change SSID Name.
- Enter your SSID Name. This is the name of your vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Press Done.
- Select Change Password.
- Create a password.
- Choose Done.
