How do I change the Wi-Fi Hotspot password in my Lincoln?

You can change the password for your vehicle's Wi-Fi® hotspot* using the SYNC®** screen.

Changing Your Wi-Fi Hotspot Password

Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to change your Wi-Fi hotspot password. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Identifying Your SYNC Generation

Lincoln Digital Experience

  1. Tap the Apps Drawer icon (six dots) on your vehicle's center display screen.
  2. Select Hotspot.
  3. Press Settings.
  4. Either:
    • Press Change Password and enter your new password.
    • Press Network Name and enter your new Wi-Fi hotspot name.
  5. Save your changes.

SYNC 4

  1. Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Connectivity.
  3. Press Connected Vehicle Features.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. Tap Change Password.
  6. Enter your new password.
  7. Select Done.

SYNC 3

  1. Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Wi-Fi & Hotspot.
  3. Press Settings.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. Tap Change SSID Name.
  6. Enter your SSID Name. This is the name of your vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot. 
  7. Press Done
  8. Select Change Password.
  9. Create a password.
  10. Choose Done
