What is the recommended engine oil for my Lincoln?

Lincoln recommends specific Motorcraft® engine oil types that vary by your vehicle and engine. Using the right oil helps keep your vehicle’s engine clean, reduces overall wear, and maximizes performance.

Refer to the table below for instructions on finding your recommended engine oil and filter.

Refer to the Maintenance > Engine Oil > Engine section of your Owner's Manual

You will see your vehicle's recommended oil and oil filter, and the amount of oil your vehicle takes.

FordParts Website
  1. Visit the FordParts website.
  2. Choose Select Vehicle.
  3. Enter your vehicle's year, make, and model and select Continue or enter your Vehicle Indentification Number (VIN) and select Verify.

You will see your vehicle's recommended oil and oil filter.

FCSD Chemicals and Lubricants Website
  1. Access FCSD Chemicals and Lubricants Quick Reference Charts.
  2. Scroll down until you see the Lubricants heading.
  3. Select Motorcraft Oil Quick Reference Oil Applications And Crankcase Capacities Charts.
  4. Open the PDF once downloaded.
  5. Locate your vehicle model and engine size in the left column of one of the tables. There are multiple tables based on oil type. 

    Note: To find your vehicle's engine size, refer to the vehicle's window sticker. For available model years and more information about window stickers, see the Where can I get a replacement window sticker for my Lincoln? topic.

Model years appear on the right side of the table. If the box under your vehicle's model year is shaded, the recommended Motorcraft oil type, filter, and refill amount at the top of the table are the ones your vehicle uses.
