How do I authorize another user in the Lincoln Way App?

You can grant other users to have access to remote commands for your vehicle. When any additional user makes a request, you will receive a message in your Message Center.

Authorize Another Lincoln Way User

Select your Lincoln Way®* App experience for more details on how to approve a vehicle access request. 

Lincoln Way 4.X Experience

To approve a vehicle activation access:

  1. Inicia sesión en la aplicación Lincoln Way. 
  2. Go to the Account screen.
  3. Scroll down and select the Message Center tile. 
  4. Locate and select the Vehicle Access Request message.  
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • Tap Yes to grant the user access to commands. The Lincoln Way App will require you to enter your Username and Password to authenticate the access request.
    • Tap No to reject the request. The denied user can request four more times after their first request. If the request is denied for all five requests, they will receive a Request Blocked message. 
  6. Tap Next to complete the request. 

If you experience any issues, contact a Lincoln Concierge using the Account > Help options in your Lincoln Way App.

Lincoln Way 5.X Experience

To approve vehicle connection access:

  1. Inicia sesión en la aplicación Lincoln Way. 
  2. Go to Select Vehicle from the garage screen.
  3. Select Access Requests.
    • To approve a request:
      1. Tap Accept. 
      2. Select Accept on the pop-up message to confirm the approval. 
    • To decline a request:
      1. Tap the X. 
      2. Select Decline on the pop-up message to confirm the denial. The denied user can request four more times after their first request. If the request is denied for all five requests, they will receive a Request Blocked message. 

If you experience any issues, contact a Lincoln Concierge using the Account > Help options in your Lincoln Way App.

Note: The access request history will be shown in the Centro de mensajes de la aplicación.
