How do I find my Lincoln vehicle's Electronic Serial Number?

You can locate your Electric Serial Number (ESN) with your SYNC®* system using the instructions contained in this article.

You may need your ESN when contacting SiriusXM®**, or when attempting to update your SYNC Navigation maps.

Notas:

  • The ESN for SiriusXM and for navigation maps are different.
  • The ESN for SiriusXM should start with a V or a W.

Locating your ESN

Select your SYNC generation (gen) from the drop-down options below to learn how to find your vehicle's ESN.

Note: If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Identifying Your Vehicle's SYNC Gen

Two resources to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC gen are the:

    • Log in with your Lincoln credentials, choose a vehicle from your garage, and select Check for updates.

SYNC 4

To locate your ESN using SYNC 4:

There are three options to locate your ESN using SYNC 3:

Opción 1

  1. Go to Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2.  Select Sirius to view your ESN.

Opción 2

  1. Tap Audio on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Sirius.

To locate your ESN using SYNC with MyLincoln Touch, tune to channel 0. This will display your ESN.

To locate your ESN using SYNC with Next-Generation Navigation:

  1. Press the Info button, which is a lowercase "i" with a square around it.
  2. Go to System Info on your vehicle's touchscreen to view your ESN.

Versión "P" de navegación

To locate your ESN using SYNC with Navigation "P" Version:

  1. Press the Menu button on the left side of the screen.
  2. Use the touchscreen to access the System Information menu.

SYNC Gen 1

There are two ways to locate your ESN using SYNC Gen 1:

Opción 1

Hold the SIRIUS and Preset 1 buttons together at the same time to view the ESN.

Opción 2

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll through the menu options until you see System Info.
  3. Tap Ok on this menu.
  4. Use the Up and Down arrows to view the ESN.
