How do I activate my Lincoln vehicle's modem using the Lincoln app?

You can enable your vehicle's modem by using the Lincoln app and adjusting your Connectivity Settings in your vehicle's SYNC^®* or Lincoln Digital Experience^** system. Activating the vehicle's modem enables remote commands and other features.

Requirements

Before you begin, the following preconditions must be met:

• Your vehicle has a modem.
• Your vehicle is added to the Lincoln app.
• Your device has a strong cellular signal.
• Your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated, safe area.
• Your Customer Connectivity Settings are turned on.

Connecting to Your Vehicle's Modem

To connect to your vehicle:

1. Enter and turn your vehicle on.
2. Open the Lincoln app.
3. Select Connect to Vehicle.
   
   Note: If your vehicle is equipped with a modem and the Activate Vehicle button does not appear, contact a Lincoln app Client Experience Manager through Account > Help.
    
4. Tap I've Started my Vehicle.
5. Read and accept the prompt on your vehicle screen. 
   
   Note: It may take up to two minutes for the connection to complete.
    
6. Press Check Connection Status once you accept the in-vehicle prompt.

The Lincoln app will route you back to the Vehicle screen, and the remote commands (if available) should appear below your vehicle's image.

Notes:

• If you receive a "Feature Unavailable for fleet vehicles" message, contact a Lincoln app Client Experience Manager through Account > Help for additional assistance.
