How does Amazon Alexa Built-in work with my Lincoln?
Amazon Alexa Built-in*, delivered through SYNC®** 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition, allows you to interact with your vehicle using your voice, making it easier to play music, get directions, check traffic, manage home smart devices, and more.
Important: All 2024 – 2025 Lincoln Digital Experience vehicles will have Amazon Alexa functionality removed in early 2026 due to the end of life of Alexa services across all Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience vehicles. 2026 and newer Lincoln vehicles are not equipped with Alexa. The Alexa app cannot be downloaded on Digital Experience vehicles. Google Assistant is now the voice assistant in these vehicles, and no additional actions can be taken to restore Amazon Alexa functionality.

Alexa Built-in Features
Combined with the Lincoln app, you can:

Alexa Built-in Requirements
To use Alexa Built-in, you must have:
- SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition.
Note: If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, refer to the SYNC Visual Reference Guide, which has example images of each SYNC generation.
- The vehicle added to your Lincoln app account.
- The vehicle's modem fully activated.
- An Amazon account for an Alexa login. For assistance creating an Amazon account, contact Amazon or go to the Amazon website. You can create a new account and register your vehicle as an Alexa-enabled device.
Note: Amazon Prime is not required to use this feature.
Setting Up Alexa Built-in
Important: Your vehicle must be parked and running, and in an open location (e.g., free of overhead foliage, ceilings, etc.).
- Tap Settings or the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Press Amazon Alexa.
- Select Get Started or Yes to view the QR code for the Amazon login page.
- Scan the QR code using your mobile device, tablet, or computer. For manual entry, use the site https://amazon.com/us/code.
- Log in to your Amazon account.
- Enter the code provided on your SYNC screen.
A confirmation screen will appear advising that Alexa is now enabled, and you will have access to additional Amazon Alexa settings on your vehicle.
Important: If a code does not appear on your screen, contact Amazon for assistance.
Using Alexa Built-in
Say “Alexa,” followed by your question or command.
If Listen to Wake Word is turned off, press the Push to Talk button on the steering wheel. After the tone, simply say “Alexa,” followed by your question or command.
Troubleshooting Alexa Built-in
If you have problems with Alexa Built-in, follow the steps below.

- Wait 2 minutes and ensure the radio display turns off completely.

- Turn Vehicle Connectivity off.
- Wait for 1 minute.
- Turn Vehicle Connectivity on again. Ensure all settings are turned on individually.

Note: If any options are turned off, the Lincoln app will not work, and the following message appears: "Please enable in-vehicle connectivity settings to access the feature."

Alexa Built-in Subscription Details
- 3-year trial of Alexa Built-In that begins on your warranty start date.
- 30-day trial of Lincoln Premium Connectivity that begins on your warranty start date and receives in-app notifications to confirm feature activation.
Note: A credit card is not required to begin a Connected Services trial. Alexa Built-In and Lincoln Premium Connectivity are part of the Connected Services bundle.
You can purchase a Connected Services plan that is paid monthly based on your enrollment purchase date. Canceling a paid subscription before it expires entitles you to a prorated refund for the remaining days of the month.
You can access, view, and manage Connected Services through the Lincoln app or the Lincoln Connected Services website.
