¿Qué es el sistema mejorado Active Park Assist de Lincoln?

Enhanced Active Park Assist with Park Out Assist

Available Enhanced Active Park Assist with Park Out Assist helps take the anxiety out of parallel parking. Once the system locates a suitable parking space, all you have to do is shift, accelerate, and brake, while the system does the rest. Your vehicle will also help to get you out of a tight parallel parking spot, as well as provide assistance in reverse perpendicular parking.

Parallel Parking

The system detects available parallel parking spaces and steers your vehicle into the space. You control the accelerator, gearshift, and brakes. The system visually and audibly guides you into a parallel parking space.

  1. Press the Active Park Assist button  once to search for a parking space.
  2. When the vehicle speed is less than 22 mph (35 km/h), the system scans both sides of your vehicle for an available parking space.
  3. Use the turn signal to search for a parking space on the driver or passenger side of the vehicle.
  4. An informational screen will appear on the SYNC®* touchscreen and the system will begin to scan for available parking spots.
  5. Drive approximately 3 ft (1m) and parallel to the other parked vehicles when searching for a parking space.
  6. Once a parking spot is found, you'll hear a chime and see a Space Found message on your touchscreen.
  7. Stop your vehicle and follow the prompts on your touchscreen.
  8. You will be responsible for driver controls such as accelerating, shifting, and braking as needed.

Note:  If the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 6 mph (9 km/h), you interrupt the maneuver, or the system switches off, you must take full control of your vehicle.

Reverse Perpendicular Parking

The system detects available perpendicular parking spaces and steers your vehicle into the space. You control the accelerator, gearshift, and brakes. The system visually and audibly guides you into a perpendicular parking space.

  1. Press the Active Park Assist button  twice to search for a parking space.
  2. When the vehicle speed is less than 19 mph (30 km/h), the system scans both sides of your vehicle for an available parking space.
  3. Use the turn signal to search for a parking space on the driver or passenger side of the vehicle.
  4. Drive your vehicle approximately 3 ft (1 m) and perpendicular to the other parked vehicles.
  5. When the system detects a suitable space, a message displays, and a tone sounds.
  6. Stop your vehicle and follow the instructions on the touchscreen.
  7. You will responsible for shifting, accelerating, and braking to get into the parking spot.
