How do I remove my Phone As A Key using the Lincoln app or SYNC?

You can delete your Phone As A Key* using the Lincoln app or via your vehicle's SYNC®** screen. 

Importante: 

  • Deleting a Phone As A Key device also deletes any Backup Start Passcodes associated with it.

    Note: Deleting or resetting the Backup Start Passcode does not impact the Phone As A Key setup.
     
  • You can only delete keys associated with your Lincoln app account.
  • If your device is lost or stolen, contact a Lincoln app Client Experience Manager for key removal assistance. 

Removing Phone As A Key

Select your preferred method from the dropdowns below for steps on how to delete your Phone As A Key. 

Aplicación Lincoln

  1. Log in to the Lincoln app.
  2. Select the vehicle for which you want to remove Phone As A Key. 

    Note: If you only have one vehicle in your Garage, it should automatically be selected.
     
  3. Scroll down and tap Phone As A Key under Settings.
  4. Select the specific Phone As A Key device under Device key that you want to remove.
  5. Tap Delete on the confirmation popup.

    Notas:
    1. The key will show as "Deleting..." until the app finishes the key deletion process.
    2. If the Phone As A Key fails to delete, you will receive a "Trouble deleting key" pop-up message, and the key will revert to an Active status.
  6. Once done, the Device key list will no longer display the deleted key.  When the deletion is successful, the user will receive a confirmation email.

SYNC

Important: Your vehicle must be parked and running, and in an open location (e.g., free of overhead foliage, ceilings, etc.). 

  1. Safely enter your vehicle.
  2. Toca Configuración.
  3. Selecciona General.
  4. Scroll down and select Reset.
  5. Tap Lincoln Connect Reset.
  6. Select Phone As A Key Reset.
  7. Tap Continue.

All Phone As A Key devices will be removed.
