How do I extend the remote start run time for my Lincoln vehicle?

You can increase your remote start run time using the Lincoln Way® App* or using your in-vehicle instrument cluster. Use the steps below for more details. 

Extending Remote Start 

Select the dropdown for your Lincoln Way App experience to view the steps to increase your remote start run time.

Extend Your Remote Start in the Lincoln Way App 4.X Experience

To extend your vehicle's remote start run time:

Note: To use this function, your initial start must be requested from the Lincoln Way App and not your keyfob. 

  1. Inicia sesión en la aplicación Lincoln Way.
  2. Request a remote start. 
  3. Selecciona el botón Extender de la notificación dentro de la aplicación.

Extend Your Remote Start in the Lincoln Way App 5.X Experience

To extend your vehicle's remote start run time:

  1. Inicia sesión en la aplicación Lincoln Way.
  2. Select the option that applies to your vehicle:
    • Remote Start (Internal Combustion Engine [ICE] Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles [PHEVs])
    • Preconditioning (Battery Electric Vehicles [BEVs] only)
  3. Selecciona el botón Extender de la notificación dentro de la aplicación.

Extend Your Remote Start in Your Vehicle

Use the following steps for in-vehicle setting changes:

  1. Enciende el vehículo. 
  2. Usa el control direccional en tu volante para seleccionar Configuración.
  3. Navega hasta Configuración avanzada.
  4. Presiona OK.
  5. Navega hasta Vehículo.
  6. Presiona OK.
  7. Navega hasta Encendido remoto. 
  8. Presiona OK.
  9. Navega hasta Duración.
  10. Presiona OK.
  11. Select from the three options:
    • Five minutes
    • Ten minutes
    • Fifteen minutes

Notas:

  • La opción que aparece resaltada será la opción seleccionada.
  • Once the selection is made, you can back out of this menu by pressing the left arrow on the directional pad.
