How do I schedule Lincoln Enhance Software Updates?

Software updates are delivered directly to your vehicle via Wi-Fi or through the Lincoln®* Connect (modem). Some updates will happen in the background while you are driving. Non-drivable installations require your vehicle to be turned off for a short period of time. 

To ensure your vehicle is always up-to-date, you can set a recurring schedule, so updates can occur when you do not need to drive. 

Choose the dropdown below corresponding to your vehicle's SYNC®** version to learn how to schedule updates.

Identify Your Vehicle's SYNC Version

There are two resources to assist you in identifying which version of SYNC is installed in your vehicle.

  • The first is our Página de SYNC y actualizaciones de navegación. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and select Check for update. Your vehicle information, including your current SYNC version, will appear on the right-hand side of the page.
  • The second is our SYNC Visual Reference Guide, which has example images of each version of SYNC Lincoln has produced.

Schedule Lincoln Enhance Software Updates

Select an option below:

On your vehicle's SYNC screen:

  1. Selecciona Configuración.
  2. Elige Actualizaciones del sistema.
    Note: Depending on your vehicle, this could be on the second or third page.
  3. Presiona Programar actualizaciones. 
  4. Elige Programar.
  5. Selecciona los días y horarios que prefieras.
  6. Presiona Guardar.

Notas:

  • Para las actualizaciones que requieran apagar tu vehículo, las trabas de las puertas permanecerán como estaban (trabadas o destrabadas) al inicio de la actualización. Personal belongings should be removed from your vehicle or secured prior to beginning the update.
  • Conectar tu vehículo a un Wi-Fi externo puede agilizar la descarga de las actualizaciones del sistema. Conoce cómo conectarte a Wi-Fi.

Lincoln Way®*** App

  1. Inicia sesión en la aplicación Lincoln Way.
  2. Select the Vehicle tab at the bottom. 
  3. Tap Software Updates.
    Note: If not already on, toggle Automatic Updates to ON.
  4. Navigate to Settings and tap Recurring Schedule.
  5. Select the Time and Days of the Week the vehicle will search for and/or perform SYNC updates. 
  6. Toca Guardar.
