How do I use the Driver Alert System in my Lincoln?

The Driver Alert System* can monitor your level of alertness based on your driving behavior. Si el sistema detecta que tu patrón de conducción se ha vuelto irregular, hace una advertencia auditiva y visual en el grupo de instrumentos para mantenerte alerta. El sistema de advertencia tiene dos etapas:

  • First, the system issues a temporary warning that you need to rest. Este mensaje solo aparece por un breve período de tiempo.
  • If the system detects a further reduction in driving alertness, it may issue another warning that remains on the information display for longer.

Turning the Driver Alert System On and Off

You can disable and enable this feature using:

  • The information display:
    1. Select Driver Assist.
    2. Select Driver Alert.
    3. Choose On or Off.
  • Your vehicle's SYNC®** screen (if equipped):
    1. Presiona Settings (Configuración).
    2. Tap Driver Assistance.
    3. Touch Driver Alert.
    4. Toggle On or Off.

Resetting the Driver Alert System

Puedes restablecer el sistema al:

  • Activar y desactivar el encendido.
  • Detener el vehículo y luego abrir y cerrar la puerta del conductor.

Notas:

  • Keep the windshield free from obstructions (e.g., bird droppings, insects, and snow or ice).
  • If the camera is blocked or the windshield is damaged, the system may not function.
  • The system remembers the on or off setting in the information display menu through ignition cycles.
  • If enabled in the menu, the Driver Alert System activates at speeds above 40 mph. When the activation speed is below, the information display informs you that the system is unavailable.
