How do I use Cruise Control* in my Lincoln?

The Cruise Control feature maintains a set vehicle speed without the need to keep your foot on the accelerator pedal. See below for instructions to use cruise control and different types of cruise control features.

Note: Cruise Control is only available when your vehicle's speed exceeds 20 mph.

Using Cruise Control

To set cruise control in your vehicle:

  1. Press ON on the cruise control switch on your steering wheel**. An indicator light

     will appear on the vehicle's information display and will change color to indicate system status.

  2. Drive at your desired speed.
  3. Press SET.
  4. Quita el pie del acelerador.

Your cruise control speed is now set. Pressing X on the steering wheel or applying the brake pedal will cancel cruise control.

Adaptive Cruise Control allows your vehicle to reduce speed in response to traffic conditions and return to the set speed once conditions improve.

Adaptive Cruise Control provides:

  • Advanced radar technology is used to monitor traffic ahead and scan for slower vehicles.
  • The ability to:
    • Maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
    • Return to the speed you set with the cruise control system.
Control de velocidad adaptativo con frenado y avanceAdaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go allows your vehicle to maintain a preset speed and distance from a vehicle driving in front of you. It will ensure the vehicle comes to a complete stop when needed.
Control de velocidad adaptativo inteligente Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control adjusts the cruise set speed to the speed limit detected by the vehicle's Speed Sign Recognition system. For example, if the Speed Sign Recognition system detects a 50 mph speed limit, the cruise control speed updates to 50 mph.
