Described coverage requires the purchase of an OEM Parts Endorsement, and is subject to limitations stated in the endorsement form. These include, but are not limited to, the following: Whenever reasonably available as determined by The American Road Insurance Company (“TARIC”), we will use new original equipment vehicle manufacturer parts for the indicated owned "autos" of the private passenger type, light truck type or van type (weighing 20,000 lbs or less manufacturer’s listed gross vehicle weight) with a “vehicle age” that is seven years old or newer. If a new original equipment vehicle manufacturer part is not in production or distribution, we may use a like, kind and quality replacement part. This coverage does not apply to any custom furnishings, glass, tires, fasteners, nuts, bolts, clips, hardware, and other custom parts with a similar function. This coverage does not apply to equipment not manufactured by the vehicle manufacturer for installation by the vehicle manufacturer, or vehicle manufacturer's dealership. This coverage is only provided to vehicle(s) as indicated in the policy Declarations. Definitions: ”Vehicle Age” is determined by subtracting current calendar year, at the effective date of the subsequent term, from the “autos” model year.
